on flat coastal plains with short rolling hills. Its western portion presents a
complex geologic feature running across it from north to south resulting from
uplifted oceanic crust or mafic rock.

jungle Activiteiten: - Atasia national park - Caves 1. Chocolate Hills It got
its name from the colour of the grass that covers the hills – it turns brown in
April and May. As a result, you can see an endless gently waving sea of soft
brown cones resembling chocolates which you can’t find anywhere else. The
Chocolate Hills are located in the middle of the island. You can reach them
easily, since they are next to the main Loay Interior Road. There is a gate,
where you pay 50PHP/ USD1, then proceed a few minutes’ walk on the road to the
top of one of the hills. This is a classic tourist spot, with a terrace and
stunning panoramic views to the whole surrounding area. You can also hire ATV
for 800-1500PHP/ USD16-29 and drive among the hills on certain routes which the
rental company will show you. 2. Tarsier The second landmark is not a place, but
an animal. You will find one of the cutest animals on Earth – the Tarsier. It is
a kind of primate, which became popular due to its extremely large eyes relative
to its body. When it opens its eyes, it’s as if you’re looking at the cutest
alien in the Universe. Tarsier Sanctuary is also located on the main Loay
Interior Road. You pay 60PHP/ USD1 entrance fee and walk in the small park
inside. There, you can see a few Tarsiers, every single one of them on its own
tree. There are park rangers standing around each Tarsier to protect it and
answer your questions. Actually, every Tarsier knows its tree and during the
daytime it sleeps on it. Interestingly, it can sleep with opened eyes too! At
night, they leave their trees and go to the nearby forest to hunt for insects.
They can jump high, from tree to tree, all night long until dawn. Only watch
them and take photos, you are not allowed to touch them! 3. Beaches With the
popularity of Coron and El Nido, there is no surprise that the Philippines is
known for their gorgeous beaches. First, I have to mention that Bohol Island has
its “little brother”- a small island separated only by a short road bridge from
Bohol mainland. It is called Panglao, and there you can find some of the best
beaches, not only in the Philippines, but even in the world. Although it is
another island, it is so well connected and so close to Bohol that everybody
considers it as a part of Bohol. Most of Panglao’s coastline actually consists
of sandy beaches. These are the typical “tropical paradise” kind of beaches,
with white sand, crystal clear water and coconut palm trees gently bent to the
sand and water, just like in the postcards.

is a tranquil beach town that’s popular with travelers. The beach is often
described as being picturesque, especially when viewed from atop one of its
numerous limestone rock formations. If you want to maximize your island-hopping
experience, I recommend spending at least two nights here.

PALAWAN 1. KAYANGAN LAKE Kayangan Lake is one of the most popular and iconic
attractions in Coron. It is one of the cleanest lakes in Asia and has a brackish
body of water. The turquoise water, stunning limestone formation, and rich
marine life makes it a sight worth exploring! 2. MALCAPUYA ISLAND Malcapuya
Island is famous for its white beaches. Bathe in the sun on the white beaches
all day long on Malcapuya Island. 3. TWIN LAGOON Twin Lagoon is a wonderful
piece of nature for its awe-inspiring and crystal clear waters. It is also where
the fresh and salty waters merge. The first lagoon is accessible from the boats
dock whereas the second lagoon has a narrow opening under the rocks and is
accessible through swimming. 4. SUNKEN JAPANESE WRECKS Coron Bay is popular for
its numerous diving sites, one of which includes the Sunken Japanese Wrecks.
This site is also listed in Forbes Travel Magazine’s Top 10 scuba diving sites
of the world. Prepare to explore the historic twelve sunken Japanese ships from
the 1944 WWII. The history and the beautiful underwater scenery will simply blow
you away. 5. CALAUIT SAFARI PARK Calauit Safari Park is a good place for
tourists looking to encounter wildlife in Coron, Palawan. The main thing to know
about Coron is that it’s not really one island; instead, it’s three
islands—Coron Island, Manlawi Island and Nakabuang Island—that are just a short
boat ride apart. This hop combines two of these islands for an unforgettable day
trip. Here's how to do it First, spend some time on Coron Island itself. Walk
around, check out its unique architecture (it looks like every building is made
from wood), eat at one of its restaurants or grab drinks at Kappiya Bar & Grill.
Then head over to Manlawi Island by way of local fishermen’s boats (the kind
with outboard motors). You can either negotiate a price beforehand or pay once
