BANTEAY CHHMAR COMMUNITY-BASED TOURISM
First Day:
12:00 pm: Welcome to Banteay Chhmar Community- Based Tourism (CBT) office. Lunch
prepared by women's group at the CBT restaurant under a straw hut and settling
into your homestays
2:30 pm: Visit the Banteay Chhmar Temple, along the west side by walking and go
along the moat where you can see vegetable gardens being tended and continue on
to the Ta Prohm Temple
7:00 pm: Dinner under the stars at Ta Prohm Temple on straw mats (picnic-style)
with traditional wooden torches.
Listen to traditional music played by local villagers.
Second Day:
1. 30 am: Breakfast in your homestay prepared and delivered by CBT (or, in
the CBT restaurant)
2. 30 am: Walk through the Banteay Chhmar market area
3. 00 am: Ox-cart tour to discover the Banteay Chhmar way of life (visit the
Silk Center, go through rice fields, make a stop at a farm...). Continue to
the "Killing Baray" by kuyon.
12.00 pm: Picnic on a wooden platform prepared by the CBT cooking group and take
a nap in a hammock
3.30 pm: On the return trip, visit cassava farms & rice fields
7:00 pm: Back to your homestay, enjoy the end of the day with the family, and
have dinner delivered by the CBT and afterwards watch a rice flattening show and
tasting
Third Day:
7:30 am: Breakfast in the CBT restaurant
9.00 am: Departure by kuyon to visit Banteay Top Temple (or by your own vehicle)
12.00 pm: Picnic prepared and delivered by CBT to Banteay Torp Temple and
departure to Sisophon

Temple entrance fee ($5 per person)
