Barcelona, a city steeped in history and culture, was our first destination for 4 incredible days….
Day 1: We investigated the ancient Gothic Quarter, the city's oldest district, which dates back to 133 BC and the Roman occupation.
Day 2: Our itinerary included visits to Park Güell, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the iconic La Sagrada Familia, and the Plaza de toros de las Arenas, a former bull fighting arena that operated until 2011.
Day 3: A comprehensive walking tour of the Gothic Quarter and Old Town preceded a 1-mile walk to Barceloneta beach to relax.
