Mai Chau is high end, you can stay with locals for £5-10 a night although a very different experince. You could skip this element as it’s a national park so super pretty but so are other national parks around the world

Arguably the best hotel I stayed in, 5 star, massage included every night, hotel restaurant is pricey but tasty, little out of the city but taxis are cheap

Decent hotel but plenty of others are good. Really recommend doing the chu chi tunnels, so much to learn about the war. I did a private tour for around £100 but a group tour is like £10
