A 9-day private journey through the full length of Spain from Madrid south through Toledo, Seville, the white villages of Andalusia, Málaga and Granada, then north along the Mediterranean coast through Alicante and Valencia to Barcelona, with a full-day private tour including the Sagrada Família and Montserrat. The trip ends with two nights in San Sebastián, the food capital of the world, before returning to Madrid via Bilbao and Burgos.

Private guided tour of the Cathedral and the Alcázar. Warm and pleasant weather light layers, comfortable shoes, sunglasses. It will get warm during the day you might not need a jacket.

Málaga, Spain
Similar to Seville. A comfortable day for driving and walking. Ronda and Setenil involve uneven cobblestones and steep streets wear your best walking shoes. Light layers, sunglasses, sun cream for the afternoon.

Granada, Spain
Granada is might be a bit colder , it sits at altitude and the evenings can feel quite fresh. Bring a proper jacket for Granada evenings. The Alhambra visit involves a lot of walking on uneven ground no heels, no new shoes. Comfortable shoes. Shoulders covered for the church visits.

Valencia, Spain
The drive takes you from the mountains back down to the Mediterranean coast. Alicante will feel warmer and sunnier most summery stop of the trip. Sun cream and sunglasses for the lunch stop. Valencia in the evening is comfortable with a light layer.

Barcelona, Spain
Some cloud. A full day outside Sagrada Família, Park Güell and Montserrat are all outdoor or semi-outdoor. Montserrat is a mountain and will be cooler and windier than the city. Bring a jacket you can tie around your waist during the day and put on at the monastery. Comfortable shoes are essential Park Güell and Montserrat both involve significant walking and uneven terrain.
There might be some light rain on the second day. Pack a compact rain jacket in your bag ( just in case. Jeans and a light layer are perfect.

San Sebastián, Spain
La Roca Village is an outdoor outlet so wear something easy for walking and shopping. Zaragoza is a brief outdoor stop. San Sebastián in the evening slightly colder r as you move north toward the Basque Country. A proper jacket for the pintxos evening in the old town.
