Jerash, Jordan
Located just outside Amman, Jerash is one of Jordan’s most popular tourist
attractions. Built by King Herod in 160 A.D., today it is an impressive ruin
that retains much of its former glory. Originally a Roman city with a thoroughly
Greek feel, it contains some stunning mosaics. It’s easy to get to from Amman
and is a great place to spend a few hours in free time.
