Ajloun, Jordan
Located just 20 minutes from Amman, Ajloun is a mountainous and beautiful city
and region. Its urban area spreads over 4 districts. The historical castle,
which dates back to 773 AD, gives one an idea of what life was like for past
generations. The cities lush green forest are great for hiking, bird watching or
picnicking by streamside.

Dana is a small village near Petra, located on one of Jordan’s major roads. It’s
home to several hotels and restaurants, but it lacks any sort of nightlife. If
you find yourself wanting to go out for drinks or something fun at night, you
can catch a taxi into Petra. If you stay here, consider making day trips into
more exciting parts of Jordan.

Wadi Rum Village, Jordan
Wadi Rum is a protected area of sandstone and granite rock formations located in
southern Jordan. A popular tourist destination, it is noted for its sand dunes,
known as the seventh wonder of the world. It was declared a UNESCO World
Heritage Site in 2005.

Aqaba, Jordan
This northern coastal city of Aqaba is a great base for those interested in
exploring nearby sites and activities. The Red Sea and Gulf of Aqaba surround it
on three sides, and these bodies of water connect to each other at their
southernmost points. It lies close to four cities: Petra, Eilat, Wadi Rum and
Wadi Arabah.
