Arusha, Tanzania
Me and my mom have been hopping different countries this whole day. First, we started off yesterday taking an Uber to Union Station in Washington,DC to catch our train to Penn Station in New York City. After 45 minutes our train arrives and we all board it. Two and three quarters hours later, we arrive at Penn Station. Then, we took a train to JFK airport in Queens, NY. Fifteen minutes later, we arrive at JFK Airport, we then take an AirTrain to our terminal to get our bags checked. But little did we know our flight has to be leaving in at least four hours to be able to check your bag, so we were stuck waiting to get our bags checked for an hour. So, my mom decided to get something to eat. So we went downstairs to see the restaurants in the area. We found a tiny restaurant called Angelina's and she decided that was where we were going to eat and wait out the time until we could check our bags. So, my mom ordered a pepperoni pizza for both of us to share. After we finished our pizza, we were surprised to meet three people who were going on the same trip as we were going on. My mom and the three people started to chat about the places they were going. One person said: "I'm going on a safari in Serengeti and after that I'm going to Zanzibar." It was such a coincidence that all three of those people were going on the same trip as us. At 8:45 P.M. EST Angelina's closed so we all just stood in the place next to the escalator and my mom and one of the three people we met at Angelina's started chatting again about the places that they have been to. Eventually, it turned 9:30 so me and my mom headed to the checking bag area for Qatar Airways. The line was long to get your bags checked but eventually we were next in line to get our bags checked. The attendant that checked our bags seemed like she was in a pretty bad mood so we didn't try to crack any jokes. After we finished checking our bags we headed to security so we could be able to go to the gate. The line was very long to go through security, and me and my mom had to stand in the regular line because TSA Pre-Check was not open. We got out of security with two hours to spare, and my mom decided that we were not going to go "lounge-hopping" because we would have to go thru security again and that is not something that we would want to do again. So, we just headed to our gate.
1 hour later, our flight started to board and we were boarding zone 3 so we had a ways to go to get on our flight. Eventually, the crew said that boarding zone 3 could board the plane. 12 and a half hours later, we arrive in Doha, Qatar at 7:52 pm. Since we had a five hour layover, my mom decided that we should go to a lounge area so we could get a bite to eat and we could relax. Five hours later, our flight begins boarding and we need to catch a shuttle to get to our plane. Thirty minutes later, the flight crew says we can finally board the plane. 5 and a half hours later, we arrive in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania at 7:52 EAT. When we got off the plane we were brought into the airport, we had to go thru security but it only took us about five minutes to get thru security and then we had to go to baggage claim and get our suitcases. After that, we went down to the place where you get picked up from and we met our driver, Reggie. After, Reggie took us to a couple of markets where we could get clothes and items, my mom said that it was so hard for her not to get tempted to buy something. After that, Reggie took us to our lodge and he and my mom handled some business. And me and Reggie arm wrestled each other to see who is stronger and guess who won? Moi! After that, my mom and Reggie planned that he was going to pick us up later. So, I'm here typing about what happened today and yesterday and Thursday. My experiences on this trip thus far have been very good. I have been able to see how people in other countries are able to make money and make a living. I was also able to go thru 3 markets and it was cool seeing the paintings and the clothing in the markets the clothing and paintings were beautiful. So my experiences today have been very good thus far. Well, later after that, at about 5 o'clock, my mom and I went on a "walk" with a guide named Frank and he had us climb Mt. Kilimamoto and my mom and I took some pictures at Mt. Kilimamoto, and they were beautiful . I was also able to see animals like donkeys, goats, bulls, and sheep. My experiences today have been great because I was able to conquer a mountain and go to 3 three market areas and on top of that I was able to see 4 different types of animals. I can't wait to document my good news for tomorrow.

Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania
I went on two safaris on the last two days and I have a lot to talk about. On the first safari at The Ngorongoro Crater we saw 5 lions, 3 warthogs, 1 rhino, 3 hippos, and about 30 zebras. My experiences were way different from the exhibits from the zoo it was way better compared to the zoo. The views were better and also I got to see how they live and I was able to learn about how they live and the difference between male and female animals. Today we went to Serengeti National Park. We saw about 7 lions, about 55 wildebeest, and over 200 zebras, a family of elephants, and a family of baboons. My experiences today have been even better than Ngorongoro Conservation Area we saw a lot more animals and the wildlife was way more close and it was flat so we could see all the animals piled down on the savanna. So my experiences have been great so far.

Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
Today I went on another drive to Serengeti National Park, and today I saw quite a bit less as many animals as yesterday, I saw about only 55 animals in total. I learned how animals mate each other. For example, cows (female wildebeest) only choose the strongest wildebeest to mate with, and I saw a wildebeest with only one horn and my guide Reggie said he has a bad chance of being mated with. I also learned how animal interactions affect each other. For example, an impala and ticks would be parasitism because the tick is the one who benefits and the impala gets harmed because of the tick. My experiences today have been great and I was able to learn more about animals. Later, I went on a nature walk and I saw about 7 impalas and I the Maasai showed us how to start a fire. I also used a leaf as a tissue! During the nature walk I learned what you need to start a fire and how to start a fire and I also used a leaf as a tissue, the Maasai also showed us different leaves that help you with different things like back pain and headaches.

Arusha, Tanzania
Today, we went to see a tribe hunt for food, and we learned some of the Clicking language, and we had another guide who quizzed us about how to say our names in the Clicking language. After that we had a blacksmith experience and I got a brass bracelet. After that we drove to Arusha, we also went to a couple of markets to get jewelry and wood sculptures. After that, my guide Reggie took me to get my haircut, and I got my hair washed, and also the woman who washed my hair was talking to me in Swahili, and I don't understand Swahili, so my guide Reggie told her I was American and everyone in the barber shop got a jerk out of it. My experiences today have been great, I'm flying to Zanzibar tomorrow too so that's something to look forward to. My experiences today have been great, and I will have more tomorrow.
