Traveling from Panajachel, proceed to the public boat dock called Tzanjuyu (san-hoo-yoo) that serves San Pedro and Santa Cruz. Public boats leave every 20 to 30 minutes and cost around Q25 per person to Santa Cruz. The boats begin running around 6:30am and the last is at 7:00pm.
This dock is located at the very end of Calle del Embarcadero (where this street touches the lake). Public boat from dock Muelle Tzanjuyu (san huyu) - Agree price around Q20 to Q25.
When you arrive in Santa Cruz, La Iguana Perdida is directly in front of the dock on your right hand side. Come straight up to the bar and a staff member will be there to check you in!

We are located in the town of Manuel Antonio (MA) 1.2km from the bus station in Quepos (this bus station is where all of the buses will drop you). The bus that services the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area is white, blue and red and costs approximately 340 Colones. It runs from 05:30-18:30 every 15 mins and 18:30-22:00 every 30 mins. The bus stop for Hostel Plinio is only 100 meters away, in front of Restaurant Bambu Jam.
- The best value for food will be served at SODAS ($5-10). Casados are a Tico favorite.
- Best value for $ beer. Buy a 1 Liter bottle (3/12oz beers), keep the receipt (you pay a deposit for the glass), bring the bottle back to the store to exchange for another liter. 6 pack=$9, 1L (3/12oz beers)=$2.50. Once you are done drinking and want the deposit back, bring the receipt back to the store for a refund.
