Lake Saiful Muluk nearby is one of Pakistan's most magical spots — frozen edges in cold season are breathtaking. Stop here on the return journey for a proper homestyle trout meal — the river trout in Kaghan Valley is legendary. The town is quieter than Naran and gives a more authentic local feel. Nights are cold and crisp, great for stargazing before heading back.
