1. Travel to the Tourist Dock in Buenaventura
• From central Buenaventura, take a taxi (~COP 5,000 / US $1.50) or walk (~15 minutes) to the tourist dock (muelle turístico) near the port area. The boulevard by the pier is generally well-patrolled and suitable for photos. 
2. Boat to Juanchaco
• Purchase a round-trip boat ticket (~COP 72,000 / ~US $22–23) at the dock with local operators like Bahía del Mar. You’ll also pay a harbor/tourist fee (~COP 8,000) before boarding. Boat ride takes about 1 hour. 
• Boats typically leave in the morning; confirm the time upon arrival.
3. Transfer to Ladrilleros or La Barra (Optional)
• From Juanchaco, take a mototaxi (~COP 3,000) for a short ride (~5 minutes) to Ladrilleros.  
• La Barra is farther down the coast; some tours include it or you can move there separately via local transport.
