Bring the family and discover the charms of Cassis on a full-day excursion, including a short walk to the port , you can enjoy beach time on your own. Wind along the panoramic road of La Gineste on a dramatic drive leading over a mountain ridge. Marvel at how Cassis, a former Roman trading post, is set at the base of the towering Cap Canaille, one of the highest cliffs in Europe. Once in town, take the petit train (little tourist train) to the Vieux Port. Then enjoy a few hours on your own to explore. Begin your tour with a short private shuttle ride to Civitavecchia train station, where you will board an express air-conditioned train for a leisurely 60 mins no-stop ride to Rome. An escort will take you by shuttle bus to the Civitavecchia train station where you'll catch a high-speed train to St. Peter's Station in Rome. During the train ride to Rome, your tour escort will give you suggestions on the best way to enjoy your independent time in the Eternal City. You will arrive at St. Peter's station located few minutes away from the Vatican City and have approx 5 hrs to explore Rome as you wish. Discover Rome's amazing historical sites and vibrant culture at your own pace. Wander through the shops, sample authentic Italian cuisine at local restaurants or venture further and discover as many of Rome's treasures as you wish. At the appointed time, you will return to St. Peter's train station, where you will meet your tour escort and continue for your ride back to Civitavecchia. Once at Civitavecchia train station, you will meet your shuttle/ group and return to the ship.

In Pompeii, guests will be dropped off and picked up at the coach parking area, which is approx. 10-15 minutes walk to the entrance of Pompeii.
Guests in wheelchairs and others with mobility challenges must not select this tour.
Please be advised that this tour is operated over a narrow and winding road bordering high cliffs; guests prone to motion sickness should take precautions before going on this tour.
Guests must be able to walk approximately 1-1/2 miles over cobblestones and uneven ground in Pompeii and approximately one mile over cobblestone surfaces in Capri.
You may encounter crowds and delays at the funicular or local minibus station in Capri.
Guests will be on their feet up to 90 minutes at any given time.
Time permitting, guests will visit a cameo factory outside Pompei excavations , either before or after visit.
Tour may operate in reverse order.
For security reasons, it is forbidden to enter inside Pompeii excavations with big bags, backpacks or trolleys. Please be aware that lockers are not available at the entrance of the excavations.
Time permitting, limited shopping is available during the tour.
This tour utilizes an audio system that provides guests with headset units to use during the tour. These units will assist the users with hearing the narration provided by the guides and are to be returned at the end of the tour.
