NamibRand Family Hideout is remotely situated in south-western Namibia, on the
NamibRand Nature Reserve, one of Southern Africa ’s largest private nature

toilet. The facilities include solar lighting and solar hot water system. The
campsites feature a braai area with a natural stone table, tap, and wash-up
double sink. The campsite also has a game-viewing water-hole, which attracts
species such as the springbok, jackal, porcupine and a variety of birds.
Enjoy the spectacular views over the vast plains and ancient blue mountain
ranges, set out on foot or by 4×4 into the glowing red dunes for a close
encounter with the fascinating variety of Namib Desert fauna and flora. The kids
will love the dune-boarding and endless open spaces, or chasing after beetles
and lizards scuttling over the sand dunes.

to see a variety of different species, amongst them e.g. the magnificent black
maned Kalahari lion, cheetah, leopard and wild dog as well as giraffe, elephant,
blue wildebeest, gemsbok, springbok, ostrich, zebra and kudu. Quite often we
also have sightings of the elusive brown hyena, pangolin, aardvark and aardwolf.
Night safaris reveal nocturnal species such as porcupine, honey badger, spotted
genet and springhare. Exploring the bush on foot, while your Bushman guide will
teach you about their hunting and survival skills. You will also learn all about
the culture and crafts of the San people, who over the centuries have adapted
their lives to survive in the most inhospitable environment of them all.

CROCODILE CAMP
Crocodile Camp is located a 12-kilometre drive away from the small town of Maun,
towards the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana. Situated on the banks of the
Thamalakane River, the camp hosts an abundance of birdlife with the occasional
hippo or crocodile. The guest accommodations offer well equipped standard
chalets for a comfortable stay and deluxe chalets for a more luxurious
experience. All chalets feature en suite bathrooms, with wooden verandas,
ceiling fans, mosquito nets and housekeeping. The campgrounds are beautifully
maintained with a private swimming pool for residents and a restaurant for

Today you will do a half day mokoro (dug-out canoe) guided trip into the Delta.
Your guide will show you the fauna and flora of the delta area as you meander
