In the terminal you will be issued a visa, the costs are around € 35 (depending on the currency exchange rates). Your driver will wait for you at the exit near the custom hall to help you in the unlikely event of you needing assistance with formalities. We recommend exchanging money there as well, as it may take longer elsewhere and costs are more expensive.

Andasibe, Madagascar
Your today's destination is Andasibe, located about a 4,5 hour drive away. You will drive from the highlands towards the East, passing increasingly rainforest-like, dense areas. Upon your arrival, you can optionally choose to relax for the rest of the day, explore the VOI reserve (optional).
VOI (Vondron’olona Ifotony) is a small local reserve managed by local people. Within the reserve, different species of animals and flowers are protected, including but not limited to the group of indris, diademed sifakas, wooly lemurs, reptiles, amphibians and different insects such as the famous giraffe necked weevil.
The letter sequence means in English: local people love the forest. The park is not only meant for recreational purposes but also aims to teach local people the importance of conservation and ecotourism. About half of the generated income is used to finance various projects in Andasibe, such as the construction of water taps and the support of a small local hospital.
