Drive from Melbourne to Mount Shank (5 hours). Walk around the crater rim (1 hour), see ocean view and view of Gambier. Drive to Mount Gambier (15 mins). Visit Blue Lake and swim in Leg of Mutton. Have supper then tour Umpherston and Cave Garden. Camp for the night at Tarpeena Recreation Park (free!).
