Day 1: Skyline Drive & Easy StrollsMorning: Enter through the Front Royal Entrance (North) and drive the iconic, winding Skyline Drive. Stop at the Dickey Ridge Visitor Center to grab a Junior Ranger book for older siblings or a stamp for the baby's passport.Afternoon: Head to the Limberlost Trail (Mile 43). This is one of the only fully accessible, flat trails in the park—a 1.3-mile loop of compacted stone dust that is perfect for a stroller or letting a toddler walk.Sunset: Pull over at Jewel Hollow Overlook (Mile 36.4) to watch the sunset without needing to hike.
Day 2: Waterfalls & Big MeadowsMorning: Start with the Rose River Loop or a short portion of Dark Hollow Falls. While the main falls trail is steep and rocky, taking the baby carrier is a must. If the full hike is too much, just do the first 0.5 miles along the stream for a peaceful, shaded retreat.Afternoon: Head over to Big Meadows (Mile 51). The large, open grassy area is the perfect spot to lay down a blanket, have a quiet picnic, or fly a kite.Relax: Grab dinner or a snack at the historic Big Meadows Lodge.
Day 3: Southern Views & A Cool EscapeMorning: Drive down to the southern district and hike to Blackrock Summit (Mile 115). It’s a very manageable 1-mile loop with rewarding panoramic views of the Shenandoah Valley from the rock scramble (ensure your carrier fits well here).Afternoon: Head underground to Grand Caverns in nearby Grottoes. This is an excellent, stroller-friendly activity if the baby needs a break from the sun and humidity, maintaining a constant, comfortable 58°F.

Sandstone Falls Boardwalk: Located in the southern district, this \(0.25\)-mile flat, paved boardwalk is perfect for strollers. It leads directly to stunning views of the falls and access to flat riverside rocks.
Canyon Rim Visitor Center: Located near Fayetteville, this main visitor center features accessible observation decks with breathtaking views of the New River Gorge Bridge with no stairs required.
Grandview Main Overlook: This easily accessible overlook provides sweeping, panoramic views of the gorge, requiring only a very short walk from the parking area.
Historic Ghost Towns: The former mining communities of Thurmond and Nuttallburg feature flat, easy walking areas where you can stroll or carry your baby while exploring well-preserved historical ruins
Nearby Family Hangouts: Stop by the Arrowhead Bike Farm for lunch or a coffee. They have a lovely covered porch and a grassy area where you can relax, take in the views, and watch their resident goats.
Scenic Drives: When the baby needs a nap, take a peaceful, winding drive along the Fayette Station Road. It descends into the gorge and crosses the river, offering spectacular views right from the car window.

Baby-Friendly Activities & Hikes
Sugarlands Valley Nature Trail: A flat, 0.5-mile paved loop near the Sugarlands Visitor Center. It is the only fully accessible, stroller-friendly trail in the park.
The Gatlinburg Trail: A flat, 1.9-mile (one-way) gravel and paved trail that runs along the river from the outskirts of Gatlinburg to the Sugarlands Visitor Center.
Cades Cove: A premier scenic loop. Drive the 11-mile loop in the evening for fantastic, air-conditioned wildlife viewing (look for bears and elk). You can step out for short walks on flat grassy areas.

Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies: Fully stroller-accessible with lots of bright, stimulating sights for your baby.
