We try to keep a low use of plastic so we would appreciate it if you bring your own canteen or container to be refilled with purified water during the tour and your activities.
Day 1: Departure at 9:00 am
Departure in the morning from your accommodation or the airport by car or mini-van (depending on the size of the group) to reach the port of Nanay-Bellavista. As we drive there we will cross Iquitos and give you a brief description of the city and its main attractions.
Departure by boat from the port of Nanay, stopping to observe the union of the Amazon and Nanay rivers. We continue downstream for 1 hour 30 minutes enjoying the beautiful landscapes and the possibility of seeing freshwater dolphins (pink and gray), herons, tibes, kingfishers, turtles among other species along with spectacular trees, plants and flowers.
We will continue the boat navigation observing some riverside villages, such as Barrio Florido, and some rural villages, advancing until we reach the rustic style lodge.
Lunch made with local products, including fresh seasonal fruit juice. We offer vegetarian option.
Boat expedition to a small island where you can observe and interact with macaws, parrots, sloths and, of course, many different species of monkeys: Woolly monkey, titi monkey, spider monkey, tamarin, howler monkey. Leoncito monkey (marmoset), among others. Monkey Island is a center dedicated to the, rehabilitation and release of monkeys victims of animal trafficking.
After our visit to the Island of the monkeys we will sail in search of river dolphins, pink and gray.
We will continue by boat to test our skills in piranha fishing, the way the locals do. The guide will teach and help you, giving you the necessary material for fishing.
Now it's time to relax. This is your chance to jump and swim in the longest river in the world. We will enjoy a quiet sunset on the Amazon River.
Dinner at the lodge
Night walk in search of spiders, snakes, lizards, frogs and rodents, listening to the different sounds of the nocturnal animals that inhabit the jungle.

Day 2: Hike inside the jungle
Hike in the jungle for approx. 40 minutes. There are chances to see monkeys on our way such as the squirrel monkey, the brown pichico monkey or beer (saddle back tamarin). Try to recognize them with what you learned on Monkey Island to enjoy the scenery and observe birds and animals.
We will make a canoe expedition, advancing slowly through the dense vegetation of Here we can find the Shansho (Hoatzin), a prehistoric Amazonian bird, and different species of herons such as the white heron (snowy egrett), the white huapapa heron (white boat billed heron), the brown boat billed heron, among others.
During the day we will eat fruits to keep us energized.
Night walk in search of animals such as the hualo toad (smoky jungle frog), lizards, snakes and others. We can also find medicinal plants that grow in this area and drink vine water (called cat's claw). The local guide will give us his knowledge about how they use them.
Before returning to the lodge we will make a canoe expedition in search of white alligators.

Day 3: Return
We will wake up very early to watch the sunrise and start with a morning birding expedition. The early morning is the best time to observe birds and animals on the banks of the river and within the jungle, we will take advantage of this opportunity.
Breakfast with refreshing natural fruit juice
Ethnobotanical walk through the jungle to learn about Amazonian plants and their relationship with the people who live here. We will also learn about Amazonian medicinal plants.
We will visit some members of the Yahua tribe, one of the oldest indigenous groups in the Amazon. We will know some of their songs and dances, and you will have the opportunity to practice your aim with the blowgun. You can, if you wish, support them and contribute to their preservation by purchasing the handmade crafts.

Return by boat to Nanay Port and transport by vehicle to your accommodation or

Lodge located approximately 30 kilometers from Iquitos, following the course of the Amazon River. Travel time from Iquitos is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes by motor boat.
