Predjama, Slovenia
The cave time is about 2.5 hours including the waiting time for guide tour, 45
minutes travel to the cave and an hour for the castle.
If you are using Ljubljana as a base, a day trip to Postojna Cave and Predjama
Castle has to be one of the best day trips you can do from the capital. The
Queen of All Caves, and the largest cave castle in the world are definitely
worth a visit as a day trip or while travelling through Slovenia.

Great Soča Gorge, Slovenia
Hiking the Great Soča Gorge
While there are several trek
options in Soča, we were recommended to do the hike from Mala Korita to Velika
Korita. This is a very relaxing walk that follows the pristine Soča river,
connecting two of its most beautiful gorges. Here the river cuts the rocks
forming deep channels, where the water flows in a much faster and more vigorous
way.
The Virje Waterfall (or Slap Virje) is located a few km away from Bovec.

Lake Jasna, Slovenia
There are also several walking paths around the lake and along Pišnica river for
you to explore. You can even walk the whole valley up to Krnica Hut.
You can walk along Pišnica into Kranjska Gora or the other direction towards
Vrsic or the valley below.
The circular walk around Lake Jasna takes about 15 minutes. This walk wraps
around the lakes and takes you over bridges, sandy beaches and wooden platforms
that are perfect for sunbathing and enjoying the view. Lake Jasna really is all
about the views!
ZLATOROG STATUE
On the North, Jasna lake is guarded by a bronze statue of Zlatorog (Golden horn)
the legendary alpine ibex with golden horns.

Soteska Vintgar, Slovenia
May be closed due to storm.
We are pleased to announce that Vintgar gorge will reopen on Sunday, August 13,
2023, at 9:00 AM, following restoration after the floods.
The parking fee is the highest right at the entrance, 10€ for 2,5 hours. We
recommend our central parking for 7€, including a shuttle transfer to the
entrance. A more affordable option is parking at P4 in the village Blejska
Dobrava which costs 5€ for the time of the visit.
You, of course, also have a free bus from Bled that can be used for the visit.
Walking and biking to the gorge is also an option. All the information about
parking and accessibility is available on our website www.vintgar.si
Very beautiful place. Must visit if you are nearby. It takes about 2 hours to
walk red (shorter) route. We had P1 parking, which is near entrance. It's quite
small so in weekends and holiday season P3 is recommended.
