August 9 port stop. Visited the Guggenheim Museum, walked along the river, and explored the Old City.

Gijón, Spain
August 10 port stop. Went to the top of the hill viewpoint, took a taxi down to Iglesia de San Pedro, walked along the beach, and explored the city with some shopping.

August 11 port stop. Walked the waterfront and beach, visited the Old City, stopped at a coffee shop, and browsed the main shopping street.

At Sea – Total Solar Eclipse, Atlantic Ocean
August 12 was a landmark day at sea aboard Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas, marked by witnessing a total solar eclipse from the ship.

A Coruña, Spain
August 13 port stop. Took a bus tour, visited a fortress, walked through a park, saw the octopus statue, explored the Old City, and ate octopus.

At Sea, Bay of Biscay
August 14 was a full day at sea aboard Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas, sailing north toward France and the UK.

Paris, France
August 15: the ship docked at Le Havre and drove directly to Paris for the day. Visited the Eiffel Tower, Le Marais, the Louvre area, and the Champs-Élysées, then returned to the ship in Le Havre.

London, United Kingdom
August 16–17. Cruise ended in Southampton and drove to London. Visited Borough Market, saw the Midnight at the Never Get musical, explored Covent Garden, and dined at Dishoom. On August 17, visited Oxford Street and Dishoom again before departing from Gatwick Airport to Palermo.

Palermo, Italy
August 18–19 morning. Explored central Palermo, visited a department store, shopped for wedding dresses and suits, and dined at a memorable restaurant. On the morning of August 19, continued wedding dress and suit shopping — and found both the wedding dress and the suit.

Cefalù, Italy
Afternoon stop on August 19 en route from Palermo to Taormina. Visited the beach area and Old City, and stopped for a smoothie.

Stayed in Taormina on the night of August 19. On August 20, explored the Old City and the main street before driving onward to Ortigia.

Ortigia, Syracuse, Italy
Arrived in Ortigia on August 20 for dinner. On the morning of August 21, explored the morning market before continuing the journey toward Mount Etna and the Catania area.

August 21 afternoon. Stopped at a winery for lunch under the shadow of Mount Etna before driving to Cinisi for the night.

Cinisi, Italy
Stayed at a resort on the nights of August 21–22. On August 22, enjoyed tennis at the resort and spent time at the beach before flying from Sicily back to Tel Aviv.
