Head to arcade bus station on the east side of town near the Central festival mall. Go to the terminal on the south side of the street and find the green cut bus company on the left. Tickets are around £5 before.

Get passport stamped out of Thailand, then purchase ticket for the friendship bridge bus to Laos immigration (still in chiang khong 10 minute journey ) to go to laos immigartion side. LEFT THIALAND ENTER LAOS FIRST - head to far right where you see 2 windows give your immigration forms over at the right window with passport and spare passport photo, fill in two arrival forms. Then window to your left they’ll call your name. This is where you pay for visa. £25. Then pay £1 for taxi to take you to curb of pier 30 minutes. CHECK BOAT LEAVE TIMES
