Booked a 2D1N cruise that has options to pick you up from your Hotel in Hanoi
Pick ups start from 8-9Am, thr tour operators will call you the day before to
confirm the vehicle number. The ride to Ha Long Bay takes up to an hour and a
half, but the bus will spend an hour picking up other passengers from various
hotels in Hanoi before hitting the highway. There will be a pit stop at the
Pearl processing plant and Oyster Farm near Ha Long City. It's a wholesale
centre and you can by pearl jewellery but expect tourist prices. The bus will
arrive at Tuan Chin Habour at 11am. Cruise Starts at 12pm. Lunch will be
served, followed by time to freshen up before the tour to Titov Island, and then
kayaking at Luon Cave. (for Ha Long Bay Route 2 only) Enjoy the sunset on the
roof deck if the sky is clear, but it does get rainy sometimes. There was squid
fishing and foot hot bath at night plus some karaoke after dinner on my cruise
Day 2 for route 2 cruises is Sung Sot Cave Ends at 11am the next day Drop of At
Hanoi at 3pm the next day picked Route 2 Ha Long Bay if you plan to take the
overnight Sa Pa train immediately, you have 6 hours before the train departs fyi

There is a 6 hr layover in Hanoi My recommendation is to get the train staff to
store your luggage (try to nego the price a little) - yoy may try the lockers
but they can overcharge you if you are late (>4hrs) I recommend visiting Hoa Lo
Prison. stay until it closes and chill at Cong Caphe nearby, get some dinner too
but maybe a light one bcos you definitely not want to poop on the train
toilets...
