This is a placeholder. The best places to view the Northern Lights are smaller towns right up the top of the Arctic Circle so there's not much else to do around them. These one at the edge of the Northern Circle (Santa's Igloos Arctic Circle) which are situated next to a ski resort so that might be a better choice? Accounting for cloudy nights you have a 75% chance on any evening to see the Northern Lights so up to you how long you stay. Another Finland option: https://www.kakslauttanen.fi/accommodation There's also Tromø in Norway which seems to be a mix of the two.
