Transportation: Regarding on how to get to the apartment there are two very easy ways to reach it:
Metro: Take the metro at the airport, change stations in Alameda, and get in the metro that goes to Baixa/Chiado. When leaving the station be sc/60ure You take the exit LARGO DO CHIADO (otherwise You will walk up the sploap for 200/300 meters). From the Largo do Chiado Metro Station exit to the apartment its about 300 meters, just browse the location of the apartment in the map, and it will be very easy.
Taxi: it should cost around 15/20€, ask the driver to drop You at Largo do Calhariz with Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo, after leaving the taxi, You need to go down some stairs on Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo, and the entrance to the building's apartment will be around 20 meters from the Largo do Calhariz square, on the left side when going down.

You can wander the streets of Alfama or head toward the Baixa/Chiado area for more exploration. Check out the Rua Augusta Arch or take a walk along the scenic Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo:
