One of our fav cities in Mexico.
We spent Xmas here in a lovely Hostel called La Isla. Volunteers and the owner (AK) were amazing!!
The city has 13 different indigenous communities living there which creates lots of history, heritage and community spirit.
Calle Guadeloupe - one of the main pedestrian roads, very nice!
Wine bar on Calle Guadeloupe called La Viña de Bacco. Evz and I had a little date night on Xmas eve here which has a Spanish wine and tapas vibe.
Close by is another bar called Kinoki which has a really nice roof top bar. It is also a cultural centre with films on the zapatistas.
Cervecería Naufragio, great atmosphere with live music and beer garden!
Our favourite cheap and nice food place was Carmelitas, highly recommend!!
Cheese place Lacteos Maya is great 😊
Centro de textiles del Munro Maya was great to walk around in and see all the different artisanal clothing and jewellery. There is a templo, de Santo Domingo de Guzman nestled in the back which took my breath away. The exterior is just incredible.

Staying in Lima Limon! Such a cute hostel and as accommodation is cheaper in Colombia we treated ourselves to a private room which was very nice! (£18/night) We had some amazing sex on our first night 🥳🕺💦
It’s located in a great neighbourhood called La Candelaria.
Our first meal was in a place called Benito Gastrobar, great food but in a touristic area so slightly more spenny than you could find in the city.
