hiking Scouts Landing - Scouts Lookout Trail
Oscar’s restaurant was a very good suggestion in Springdale. The chicken burritos & carrot cake for dessert are both winners.
First - save the hard hikes (like Angel’s Landing) for your last day. We did it the first and we’re pretty sore the next day 😬 That being said, we did all the Emerald Pools hikes then took the Kayenta Trail out to the Grotto. Took a short break before tackling the Angel’s Landing Hike. Did The Canyon Overlook trail after returning our bikes. It was sunset and gorgeous! It was a lot for 1 day (plus all the riding). It didn’t stop us from hiking about 4 miles of the Narrows on day 2 but we were hurting a bit.
Rented gear from Zion Guru and it kept us dry (& I fell once so I was grateful for the bibs). You definitely need the stick too - helped keep us upright crossing the river with a strong current!
We rented ebikes from Zion Guru day 1 so got a discount on the Narrows gear so keep that in mind. We loved getting around the park on the bikes!
There are water bottle filling stations at a lot of the stops which were incredibly helpful in keeping us hydrated. Good to know bc it means you have to carry less in!
Think that’s it for now. Ate at the Bit & Spur and The Brew Pub near the park entrance - both were great. Also hit the Zion Canyon Hot Springs the second night which was a great way to restore our aching bodies 😜
We absolutely loved Zion - could spend a week there. Enjoy!
