Bagage in lockers bij Alishan bus station laten. (Bij 7-11, dichtbij de washrooms) en Alishan verkennen. you can visit the main area of Alishan in around 4 hours. When you arrive there, I suggest you walk from Alishan bus station to Alishan train station (about 10 minutes) and take the train to Chaoping station. Explore around there and hike the Sister Pond trail to Shouzhen temple. Then hike the Giant tree trail and walk or take the train from Shenmu station back to Alishan station.
