Day 1:
Exploration of Harajuku and Shibuya areas.
- Largest and most iconic shrines of the city: Meiji Shrine (Located only a few minutes on foot from Harajuku Station).
- Buy an Ema Plaques (write a wish on a small wooden panel)
- Exploring Harajuku: After visiting Meiji Shrine, walk back towards Harajuku Station

- Omoide Yokocho or Golden Gai (for dinner and drinks)
Day 3: Asakusa & Ueno
- Try a kimono over there (traditional area)

- Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Cente: for a city view
- Tokyo Sky Tree: tallest tower in Japan
- Kappabashi: For souvenir shopping
- Ueno Park

Day 4: Tokyo & Akihabara
- Tokyo Station Building
- Imperial Palace -> Best to book guided tour
- Imperial palace gardens
- Kanda Myojin Shrine
- Shop and Play in the Arcades in Akihabara
- buy a Magicarp-shaped taiyaki -> Taiyaki is a traditional Japanese sweet treat
- Ginza: upmarket shopping and entertainment district
- Uniqlo and Muji flagship stores in the area
Day 5 – Minato, Roppongi & Akasaka
- Zojoji Temple
- Tokyo tower (like Eiffel Tower)
- Roppongi: Three of the best art museums in Tokyo are located within walking distance of each other in the Roppongi Art Triangle. They include the Mori Art Museum, the National Art Museum and the Suntory Museum of Art.

Hakone, Japan
Day trip destination from Tokyo. It’s a little getaway from the busy city and a great spot to try the Japanese hot spring baths (onsen). From Tokyo, it takes around 1–1.5 hours to get to Hakone.
- Hakone Shrine: Large torii gate stands on the banks of Lake Ashi.
- Visit an onsen: Known for its many onsens.
- Owakudani (Boiling Valley): see the remains of an erupted volcano.

Day 1: South of Kyoto
- Fushimi Inari Taisha: Start early in the morning (go before 8AM to avoid huge crowds as it is very popular)

Day 2
- Take a self-guided walking tour through Higashiyama and Gion, Kyoto’s traditional districts.
- Kiyomizu-Dera: temple. Includes Koyasu Pagoda and Jishu Shrine.
- Kodaiji Temple
- Yasaka Pagoda (Hokanji Temple)
- Shirakawa
- End day with dinner and a walk through Pontocho Alley.
Day 3: Arashiyama area
- Walk over to Arashiyama (Bamboo Forest) Iwatayama and Monkey Park.
- Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavillion. This is one of Kyoto’s 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
