• Gachapon Hall (Akihabara Gachapon Hall is huge; explore anime/manga shops, electronics)
• Yodobashi Camera (a giant electronics megastore (think Best Buy × 10 floors))
• Animate (Japan’s biggest anime & manga chain store)

Walk to Kamakura Station
Your address (Kashigoe) is in Kamakura City — the nearest main JR station is Kamakura Station (JR lines). From there you’ll start your train journey north toward Odawara/ Hakone. 
2. Train from Kamakura → Ōfuna (JR)
• Board a JR Yokosuka Line or JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line train toward Ōfuna (just a couple of stops).
• Travel time: ~5–10 minutes.
• Fare: cheap local fare (under ~¥300). 
3. Train from Ōfuna → Odawara (JR Tokaido Line)
• Change at Ōfuna Station to a JR Tokaido Line train headed for Odawara.
• This is the main JR line that runs along the coast toward Hakone.
• Travel time: ~50–60+ minutes depending on train type. 
4. Transfer at Odawara → Hakone-Yumoto
• At Odawara Station, transfer to the Hakone Tozan Railway to reach Hakone-Yumoto (gateway to many Hakone attractions).
• Travel time: ~15 minutes.

• At Odawara, transfer to the JR Tokaido Shinkansen heading toward Kyoto.
• If you have a JR Pass, it will cover this (use Hikari/Sakura trains).
• Travel time: ~2 hr 15 min + change time.
• Fare (no JR Pass): typically ~¥10,000–¥14,000 one-way if buying ordinary tickets. 
4. Kyoto Station → Zen Kyoto Apartment
From Kyoto Station, the hotel is in the Fushimi/Takeda area:

• Take either the Kintetsu Kyoto Line or Kyoto Subway Karasuma Line
to Takeda Station (about 6–15 min).
