Day trip from Florence to Cinque Terre. Train from Florence to La Spezia Centrale Station. You then transfer to the La Spezia to Levanto train line. This is the CInque Terre train line as it will stop at all five villages and Levanto is a the end of the line. Most coste ffectve to get an all-day pass. The train from Florence takes approximately 2.5-3 hrs. Cinque Terre consists of five seaport villages: Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. Looks like you can get a train pass that goes through each of the towns. Vernazza seems to be the most picturesque. All the villages are about a 5 min train ride from each other. There are two cinque terre passes issues by the cinque terre park. Get the cinque erra carta treno MS card (aka train pass). Also, do a day trip from Florence to Tuscany as well.
