8:00 AM – Relaxed breakfast at your hotel
9:30 AM – Old Dubai & Creekside Charm. Take a taxi (~20 min) to Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood (also called Al Bastakiya). Stroll through the shady lanes — restored wind-tower houses, art galleries, and coffee museums. Very manageable for your mum, as it’s compact and walkable. Quick stop at the Arabian Tea House for Arabic coffee or fresh juice.
11:00 AM – Dubai Creek Experience: Walk or taxi a few minutes to the Creek. Take an Abra ride (traditional wooden boat) across the water — it’s only a few minutes and costs AED 1 (symbolic and fun). Stroll the Spice Souk (colourful, aromatic) and Gold Souk (dazzling displays). Perfect for your mum — shopping with atmosphere, and you can haggle a little for fun.
12:00 PM – Shawarma Lunch Stop. For the real deal: Operation Falafel (Downtown / JBR) – modern, but still authentic shawarma.
Close to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall so you don’t lose too much time.
1:00 PM – Dubai Mall Shopping & Sights. Shop the luxury brands + quirky boutiques. Optional: wander through the waterfall atrium. Coffee stop at Fashion Avenue Café with Burj Khalifa views.
4:00PM – Head back to Hotel, collect luggage and taxi to airport (15 min from hotel)
