The day tour to the Sirena Station in Corcovado National Park begins in Uvita. While other tour operators in Uvita offer tours to the San Pedrillo Stations, this tour offers the option of visiting Sirena, known for having the highest concentration of wildlife in Corcovado National Park.
From Uvita, we'll drive to the dock in Sierpe. The journey from Sierpe to Sirena takes approximately two hours and takes us through the Terraba-Sierpe National Wetlands, where we'll see the largest mangrove forest in Central America. After reaching the open ocean, we'll search for dolphins, whales, and turtles on our way to Sirena.
Once we reach the Sirena sector of Corcovado, we'll have five to six hours to explore the trails and search for wildlife. Although animal sightings are not guaranteed, in Sirena you can often see: tapirs, sloths, tamanduas (anteaters), spider monkeys, squirrel monkeys, peccaries, crocodiles, scarlet macaws, toucans and many more.
