How to Get There 1. Drive to the Tasman Valley Car Park • From Mount Cook Village, drive about 8 km (15 minutes) to the car park. The road is mostly sealed but has a short gravel section. 2. Walk to the Viewpoint • Trail Length: 1.4 km return (about 30 minutes total). • Trail Type: Well-formed path with steps. • Elevation Gain: About 100 meters (some uphill climbing required). • Difficulty: Easy to moderate. What You’ll See • A panoramic view of Tasman Glacier, Tasman Lake, and surrounding mountains. • Icebergs floating on Tasman Lake (more visible in summer).
