• 解放碑步行街 (Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street)

• Walk to 山城步道 (Mountain City Trail), a scenic walking path that shows off Chongqing’s “mountain city” vibe. Good for photos of old steps, hillside houses, and city views.
Midday / Lunch
• Head to 十八梯 (Shibati) – old Chongqing neighborhood with traditional streets, local vendors, and nostalgic vibe. Have a local lunch nearby (hotpot or small noodle shops).
Afternoon (Optional)
• 湖广会馆 (Huguang Guild Hall) – historic Qing-era guild hall. Worth it if you like history and architecture. Otherwise, you can relax in a teahouse.
Evening
• 洪崖洞夜景 (Hongyadong) – go around sunset. Walk inside the stilted house complex, then come outside after dark to see the full golden-lit façade.
• Walk to 江滩公园 (Riverside Park, near Chaotianmen) to enjoy the night skyline and the confluence of the Yangtze & Jialing rivers.

• Take early high-speed train or tour bus from Chongqing to Wulong (~2 hours).
• Visit 天生三桥 (Three Natural Bridges) – dramatic karst stone arch bridges, famous filming site (e.g., Transformers).
• Explore 地缝 (Longshuixia Fissure Gorge) – narrow gorge with waterfalls and lush greenery.

Afternoon
• 下浩里 (Xiahuli) – hip cultural block with old houses transformed into cafes, art shops, and creative spaces. Good place to stroll, have coffee, and enjoy relaxed vibes.

• If you still have energy, consider taking a 两江夜游 (Two Rivers Night Cruise) to see Chongqing’s skyline from the water before ending your trip.
Tips for Chongqing Travel
• Transport: Use light rail & taxis/DiDi — the terrain is steep, so walking distances may look short but can be tiring.
