Get an uber or taxi from Viracopos International VCP. Should hopefully cost about £60. Do not get public transport as going through dangerous areas at night.

We need to get to Tietê Bus Terminal and book the tickets to Curitiba. There seems to be a lot of buses. Look out for companies like Viação Cometa or Andorinha.
I recon we get a night on so we can spend the day in Sao Paulo and explore. It is about 6.30 hours and costs from £14-40. We will then get to Curitiba in the very early hours of the morning. We could potentially not even stay in Curitiba and just get another night bus to the falls to save money as we will have the whole day in Curitiba and then get the bus about 11pm that night for the falls. Buy a nice bus to get a good sleep I recon instead x

There are 4 buses a day from Curitiba, Brazil to the Falls. They all take between 10-11 hours and are about £22-35. Times seem the same everyday from Rodoferroviária de Curitiba (bus and coach station).
We would arrive at Estação Rodoviária de Foz do Iguaçu which is the bus station in the town by the falls. We can get one at 9.30pm and arrive 8am at the Brazil side of the falls.

To get to brazil side where devils throat is Bus 120 – Parque Nacional.
Operates from Terminal de Transporte Urbano (TTU) in the city center.
This line stops at:

Avenida das Cataratas (main tourist road)

Iguaçu National Park entrance (for the falls) - you then pay the entrance fee and get a shuttle which takes you along the trails - THE FAMOUS Devil’s Throat (Garganta do Diabo) we need to see. The main trail (Trilha das Cataratas).
To get to the Argentina side Buses leave from the Terminal Transporte Urbano (TTU) in Foz do Iguaçu Two main companies operating: Crucero del Norte and Rio Uruguay. BUSES STOP 6.30PM.
TELL THE BUS DRIVER YOU NEED TO GET OFF/YOU ARE GETTING OFF. THEN SHOW PASSPORT PROOF OF ACCOM AND LENGTH OF STAY ECT.
To get to the park on the argentina side...

Route: Puerto Iguazú town center → Iguazú National Park (Argentina side)
Departure point: Bus stops throughout the town, including near the bus terminal and main streets.
Frequency: Every 30 minutes to 1 hour, from early morning (~7:00 AM) until evening.
Fare: Around ARS 70–100 (Argentine pesos), pay on board.
Duration: About 25–30 minutes to reach the park entrance.
We are staying in Tucan Hostel in Puerto Iguazu.
There is one bus a day from Puerto Iguazú to Concordia and it is about 13.25 hours and you get a bed. It depards 14.50 and arrives 04.15am. To get a bus with a bed is £40.

WHEN ARRIVE STAY IN THE BUS TERMINAL - NOT A SAFE AREA. Petty theft and opportunistic crime is rife and it is not a rich Argentinian city. Stay alert and keep things nearby and DO NOT USE PHONES.
The first bus to Salto seems to be around 7am and it seems safer to stay in the bus terminal.
Flecha Bus (Direct Route) to salto seems to be at 7am.

Good that we are staying for a few nights cus we will be TIRED from all the long travel already. Buses are frequent from Terminal de Omnibus Retiro (Buenos Aries) to Terminal de Omnibus Rosario Mariano Moreno. It is about 4-5hours long and between £13-23.

I like the look of this place so I changed it to 3 nights. The jouney to Mendoza is 9-12 hours. It does stop in a place called San Luis so if you think that is a bit much then we can probs stop there for the night and carry on the journey the next day. This place is about half way. There seem to be night and day buses, as such a long journey I recon we get a sleeper bus. The price is £24-45

To get to Santiago from Mendoza it seems like quite a mountainous route through the Andes so will need travel sickness tablets haha! The journey is about 8-9 hours with little places to stop between and there are a variety of buses from 5am throughout the day and night. It costs from £12-33. The bus is direct. We go from Terminal Mendoza to Terminal Alameda Turbus.

This place looks so nice I am so excited!!! To get from here to Pisco Elqui it is a bit long and the bus stops in a place called La Serena. It takes 6-7 hours to get to La Serena then another 2 hours to get to Pisco Elqui. We could potentialy stop for one night at La Serena, it is a coastal town looks kinda nice and can do stuff like whale watching.

It seems the only way to move forward is to go back to La Serena as a transport link because of the Andes and the Desert. It is not a long journey and seems to be a frequent bus. I recon from here we go to a place called copiapó which is then about 4-5 hours on the bus. Buses seem frequent as well

Just a stop over point me thinks cus apparently there is a lot of pickpockets and crime rate is a bit higher here than other parts of Chile.

In terms of trips we have to go through a tour guide. I would like to do the La Luna Tour and there is also san boarding!!! It is not the cheapest to do things because it is very touristy so I recon when we get there we look at the places and companies that offer, speak to people about teh best deals and decide then. The book also says to go to the tourist info hub to get advice as well.
There is only one bus a day to Uyuni and it is at 3.30am every day. The journey is 12 hours so long af. Prices range from £13-30.
Potential place to stay which looks really nice: Casa Voyage - it looks like £35 a night which is a bit spenny but Chile is overall quite expensive.
Cheaper options are places like the Hostal Pangea which doesn't look as nice but is mych cheaper. We can either get a dorm or a private room. There actually only seems to be a £4 difference in price so I recon the private room. The private room does not have an ensuite bathroom but we can get one for like a tenner a night more that does but the dorm has an ensuite.
day trip to el tattoo!! - third-largest geysier field in the world. This natural phenomenon is best enjoyed in the morning when the mist fills the air and the morning sun hits the surrounding mountains. This is one of the lesser known places you must visit in South America, so be sure to include it on your travels.

Stay here to go to salt flats. Most people do the salt flats and the Reserva de Fauna Andina Eduardo Avaroa which are usually visited together on a 3 day tour.
We can do either a day tour which seems to (if booked locally) from £60-£90 -- it seems you get lunch and transport with this. A 3 day tour with meals and accomodation. Both cost more for an english speaking guide. It seems we need to compare agencies for the price and DO NOT BOOK ONLINE. Apparently there are so many companies selling the same tour but with different prices ect. The guide book does not recommend the cheapest ones as there tends to be drunk drivers and more potential mishaps apparently. We can discuss what we want to do xx

Only recon staying a night but looks like a cool place. Highest city in the world! It takes about 3 hours and is from £2-8. MUCH CHEAPER THAN CHILE YAY!!

I have added another stop as otherwise it is a very long journey. The bus stops at this place anyways and it seems like a decent and relaxed small town. To get to samaipata the bus is like 8-9 hours and costs about £7-15.

Lots to do here. reccomends a trip to tiwanaku (ruins) - takes half a day. probs worth it.
The jump off point to reach the man made islands seems to be Copacabana. There seems to be one bus a day at 8am for about £5-6 and it takes about 4 hours.

From here we can go to Island del Sol which is an important Andean site where the Inca dynasty was born. Can do this as a day trip or half day trip but seems really worth it. Some tours also take you to Island de la Luna. The guide recommends spending one night on one of the Islands so we will see.
To get to Cusco we have to get a bus from here to Puno which is the Peru side of the lake, I recon we do not stay the night instead we just go to Cusco. Bus to Puno is about 4 hours we can get it at 1.30pm for about a tenner and arrive in Puno for about half 4. Then we get the hourly bus from Puno to Cusco.
There seems to be a lot of guided tour experiences up to Cusco that are being advertised and not a whole lot of 'ordinary buses'. They offer the more cultural experiences but I dunno if they are worth it. It seems that we can get an ordinary bus but there are 2 a day I think (it is hard to find out cus everything is pushing the tours). There is one at either 8am or 10pm. The 8am one gets in at 3pm and the 10pm gets in at 5am the next day... could be the move to get the night one as we can spend the day in Puno?

4 december travel on the hidroelectrica bus from cuzco to hidroelectrica (bus stop - 7 hours). Then hike 3 hours (follow train tracks) to aguas calientes. Sleep (on 4th) then Machu Picchu tickets for 5th at 11am. To get to machu pichu need to leave hostel 08:30 - walk it (takes around 2 hours to get there). Maybe get bus.
