THE GATE CODES:
There are two locked gates which you will need to pass through to get to the
lodge itself. These gates are a necessary precaution to help safeguard the rhinos.
First Gate – 1948
Second Gate – 1975#
A transfer from Outjo can be arranged, at a fee. As our lodge is situated in a remote
area, a 4x4 or high vehicle is needed, and the cell phone reception is practically

non-existent once you are on this private road; therefore
it is crucial that you print out the directions.
The reserve is situated in the Namibian bushveld, so please expect rough terrain

and rocky roads - please deflate your tires to 1.8 bars to ensure your trip is as
comfortable as possible. Your adventure begins where the tar road ends!
TRAVEL DIRECTIONS
Please call us before you leave Outjo so that we know when to expect you.
Please do not follow the directions on Google maps, as this will only take you as
far as the turn-off to Kifaru, the lodge is still 21 km away. The instructions below
will ensure that you arrive safely!
COMING FROM WINDHOEK:
Drive the B1 Okahandja, Otjiwarongo (C38) to Outjo route, drive through Outjo on
the C38, just outside Outjo (DO NOT TURN RIGHT IN OUTJO, DRIVE THORUGH
OUTJO AS YOU WOULD DRIVE TO OKAUKUEJO, ETOSHA) turn right on the C39
towards Otavi, after about 1km, take the F3287 (20°05'55.1"S 16°09'11.2"E) gravel
road on your left.
COMING FROM ETOSHA, OKAUKUEJO:
Take the C38 to Outjo, turn left on the C39 just before Outjo and after about 1km,
take the first gravel road on your left, marked F3287 (20°05'55.1"S 16°09'11.2"E).
COMING FROM SWAKOPMUND:
Take the B2, just outside of Karibib, take the C33 to Omaruru & outside of
Kalkveld take the M63 (gravel road) to Outjo, drive through Outjo on the C38, just
outside Outjo turn right on the C39 towards Otavi, after about 1km, take the first
gravel road on your left, marked F3287 (20°05'55.1"S 16°09'11.2"E).
COMING FROM OTJIWARONGO:
Take the C38 to Outjo, drive through Outjo on the C38, just outside Outjo turn
right on the C39 towards Otavi. After about 1km, take the
first gravel road on your left, marked F3287
(20°05'55.1"S 16°09'11.2"E).
