Porto was incredible, fave city ever.
- one night walk over the bridge to Gaia and sit at Jardin do Morro and watch the sunset, it’s VIBES.
- do a port tour of the Durro valley
- do a walking tour, Porto is OLD man.
- we then caught a bus to Lisbon and it was the easiest and cheapest bus ride of our lives, I think it was legit $9
- Lisbon is more touristy but still nice! We didn’t bother dealing a tram ride (we have them in Melbourne lol duh but they are really pretty to take pics of.
- I then went to Nazare and stayed in the hostel there (travels by bus again) and it was simple and basic but clean and everyone was nice.
Walked up the cliff and went to the surfing museum (Nazare has the biggest waves in the world)
- beach was stunning!!
- fish was amazing

we did stayed in nice for 10 days and did day trips out to the different towns which i think was perfect! (all of the below were on the train line from nice) fave places i visited was:
beaulieu-sur-mer (slight bias bc this is where i got engaged but i fell in love with it prior to the proposal lmao - would stay here for a couple of days if i did it again)
menton- beautiful colourful town, beautiful beaches so pretty
cap d’ail & antibes cute little towns with market and beautiful beaches
ville franche sur mur one town over from nice so easy to get to, nice beaches
other mentions:
we went to monaco which was fun bc of the f1 stuff but i honestly think it was a bit overrated / overhyped for what it is (probs wouldn’t have gone if i didn’t care for f1)
cannes was overrated no where to lay on the beach if you’re not paying for expensive beach clubs so i would give it a miss honestly
eze we didn’t up going in time but it’s a really beautiful old town (but it’s on a massive hill so be prepared) really pretty but not beachy so depends what vibe you’re going for
MAAIKE
from Nice we caught a bus to Eze, to look around the town and the cactus garden. It’s STUNNING, but go early as it also gets really busy
- from Nice we caught a bus to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and did the walk around the little island (not as island) which was so pretty!! And you could swim etc. great day.
- we stayed in aix en Provence and LOVED it, small village vibes but also beautiful. We got there by car and then left by bus to marseille airport, it doesn’t have a train station close (be warned the train station is MILES away).
- From aix we drove the car to all these little pretty villages for the day, like Gordes.
- aix is full of markets in the days and restaurants and bars at night it was honestly so fucking cute. We stayed right in the square.
