Taxis:
They’re ubiquitous, somewhat safe and very cheap. If possible, try and find a
white taxi which has the price printed on the exterior. Always ask the driver to
use the meter. Also avoid any private taxis that target tourists and charge more
than usual. GRAB is cheaper and safe.

site marks where Portuguese adventurer Ferdinand Magellan erected a large
crucifix when he arrived in the Philippines in 1521, completing the first known
circumnavigation of the globe.
It is known for its delicious
cuisine, and there are plenty of food options to try. But if you are traveling
to Cebu and want to try out as much as you can in one night, Sugbo Mercado is
the place to be. This vibrant night market is a foodie's paradise. It's the
perfect place to sample local delicacies, from traditional Cebuano lechon,
siomai from Tisa, puso (hanging rice), and even international dishes and treats
like sweet and savory churros. Refreshing beverages like freshly squeezed fruit
juices and ice-cold beers are abundant. This Cebu tourist
attraction’s ambiance balances chill and vibrant, with live music adding to the
festive atmosphere.
The best way to get around Cebu is by jumping in a local tricycle taxi
or Jeepney.
Tricycles are similar to Tuk Tuks which you might find in other parts of
Asia. The fares are usually very cheap, ranging from 30-250 pesos for the trip,
depending on the distance.
Jeepneys are another option if you want to share a ride. They usually
operate on a fixed route, and you'll need to ask a local where it's going.
Jeepney trips are very cheap, often only 10-20 pesos per trip. Taking a Jeepney
will really make you feel like a local and is a great opportunity to experience
the famous Cebu Island hospitality.
