Pragser Wildsee, Italy
I watched a video - It’s about a 2hr Drive from Innsbruck to Like the main place (I’m sure there may be a bus ) and apparently it’s very scenic .
- It’s legal to hire a car as an 18+ year old on international license (In ITALY).
- Need a InternationalDrivers Permit, Pick up a car from Innsbruck Airport . Cars start from 270$ for 4 days of car hire (Sep2-5) . I can see Cars like a VW Polo.
- Depending on car hire, there is a possibility
we can stay at a few different place
Notes for car hire:
Must be a credit card in hiree’s name.
Pay a young drivers fee
Pay a cross Border fee of 40 euros to travel into Italy
These are Notable Places (I’m getting these from a youtube video, along with some i’ve already seen before) We will have to pick a bunch that are easily accessible because we can’t drive. I also have no clue their proximity to eachother
Recommended Base towns:
Ortisei
Cortina d’Ampezzo
- they actually have civilisation so like shops and shit, could actually look at staying here tbh. Only just thought about need of food and shit
- The views are insane - Cortina looks cooler
- Lago Di Carezza
- Seceda Ridge,
looks nice, cable cart to the top of a huge view. Can hike along the ridge
too. We have to go here, has restaurants that overlook the mountains, swing sets with the mountain as the view. Can also hike instead of cable cart
- Lago di Braies (Pragser Wildsee)
we can stay here. HOTEL LAGO DI BRAIES. It’s pretty central and lots of trails near by
- St Magdalena
- Lake Federa (Includes 8km hike)
The hike: Croda De Lago. 16km long, circles the big mountain and stops at some lakes. 5hr hike.
- Tre Cime Di Laveredo- 10 km hike around it
- Cadini
- Long Peak - Nice hotel balcony views of everything
- Alpe De Suisi
hiking through meadows, decent view of mountains , heaps of hikes but like you’re in a valley the whole time- Looks meh Kinda out of the way
