Siem Reap, Cambodia
My first stop was Siem Reap, a small town just outside of Angkor Wat. While I
don’t have a lot to say about Siem Reap itself, other than it being a quiet and
pretty city, Angkor Wat is hard to top as one of man’s greatest achievements. I
cannot recommend visiting enough—it truly is a spectacular sight.

Battambang, Cambodia
The first place I went to was Battambang, which is more of a quiet city that I
stayed for two days. This area has no big city rush or busy cities like Bangkok,
so it’s relaxing and offers you time to think about where you are at. This made
me realize how much I loved nature so I explored Battambang by riding around on
bicycles with my friends and getting some peace of mind away from all the
loudness back home.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia
A once peaceful haven, Cambodia’s capital city has come a long way since it was
liberated from Pol Pot’s Khmer Rouge regime. The scars are still there, but they
are no longer visible on its ancient buildings and ancient culture. And Phnom
Penh is home to many beautiful things that you should not miss while traveling
here.

Koh Rong, Cambodia
Our beach time was spent on a gorgeous island known as Koh Rong. It is located
about 2 hours away from Sihanoukville, and it is a true gem. You can either take
a boat or a speedboat to get there, but once you arrive you’ll realize why
everyone makes such an effort to visit. When I arrived there were no other
tourists.
