Archipelago day cruise: Morning- Scenic Ferry to Vaxholm. Depart from Strömkajen (the main public ferry terminal) and enjoy the 1-hour ride through the archipelago.
Late Morning- Explore the Town Center, wander through the charming town center. Explore the main high street for local shops and picturesque, candy-colored wooden houses. Small island, everything can be accessed on foot.
Noon- Vaxholm Fortress Take the short, cable-operated ferry (about 2 minutes) from
Vaxholm's harbor to Vaxholm Fortress. Explore the restored fort and its museum, which details its history as a coastal defense.
Lunch/Afternoon- Archipelago Lunch & Café Stop Enjoy lunch at one of the waterfront restaurants or visit the historic Vaxholms Hembygdsgårds Café for traditional Swedish fika (coffee and pastry) with beautiful views.
Late Afternoon- Walk & Viewpoints Take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront. Visit Battery park for a nice view of the harbor and the fortress. Return to Stockholm Take the scenic ferry back from the harbor, or opt for the quicker Bus 670 from Söderhamnsplan back toward Tekniska Högskolan.
