For what it's worth, we found an actual capybara cafe in Chengdu, seems to go under different names. It's either called "Sanzhi Huanxiong Coffee Shop" or "Triple Raccoon". They had 3 capybara's, raccoons, guinea pigs and corgis.

£50 high speed train to get there at 5 hours
So many sources say the park only needs 2 days to complete it. Might be better to go from Wulingyuan for the park.
There's also Tianmen mountain which is closer to Zhangjiajie

Area with two small towns to visit. Can be done as a sidequest for single night. Can be while in a different major city
Would likely have to be done as a single night thang as you can only really go from Zhangjiajie to there and back. Not super long like 2/3 hours each way.
