(No tour - do our own thing)
Below are some listed things to do on the days before we start our tour. Activities with a 🔸 are either included in the GAdventure tour or an optional activity.
NOTE: If wanting to do the Mekong Delta tour. Would need to do today. It is a full day tour.
🦩***what is this @Kate ? Have a link?
Sorry for the late reply! Mekong delta day trips were a recurring “must do” from Ho Chi Minh. I’ve linked an example below
https://www.getyourguide.com/en-au/ho-chi-minh-city-l272/mekong-delta-small-group-tour-from-ho-chi-minh-city-t60784/?ranking_uuid=1677c375-2b5b-4ef3-9ffe-54e7cbafd773
🦩 this looks good. I saw there are tours that do the tunnels and Mekong too. Guess we need to work out what we see on each dayand what we want to do on the tour too.
Things to do:
* Tan Dinh church. Bright pink church. (🦩this sounds pretty)
* Saigon central post office.
* War remnants museum 🔸
* Independence Palace 🔸
* Cu Chi tunnels 🔸
* Book Street (Nguyen Van Binh Street)
* Notre Dame cathedral basilica of Saigon
* Bitexco financial tower sky deck
* Jade Emperor Pagoda
* Mekong Delta cruise
* Cafe apartments (visit Madam Queyen. This is a cafe with heaps of notes on the wall and you can leave your own) .
* Walk through a Ngyuen Hue pedestrian street. Lots of lights and pubs/ clubs. Busy at night time (🦩think I’ve been here - worth a cultural visit)
* City hall (had statue of hi chi Minh out the front)
* Ben Thanh market (🦩been. Cute market with a few food stalls too. Lots of clothing) Saigon square markets are better quality in comparison to this according to TikTok
* Landmark 81 skyview. Tallest building in Vietnam. Had 360 views of the city. Book via Klook .
* Bamboo show at the opera house
* Flower market
Cafes:
* Mien Thao Moc cafe (fairy garden vibes) . Located in District 11. Don’t need a booking but gets very busy in the afternoon. Real name is Cafe san Vuon Mien Thao Moc.
* King Koi coffee (118 duong so 7, Binh Tri Dong B, Dinh Tan)
* Rose Villa
* Bonjour Cafe the Art
* Oasis cafe (176/1b D. Le van Suy, Phuong 10, Phu Nhuan)
Food:
* Ola Hale (great view of the pink church)
* Ho Thi Ky Food street
* Man Moi Tao Dan
* Forest therapy
* Lunch or Dinner - Resturant: Nhà hàng Ngon - 160 Pasteur
Bars/ Drinks:
* Arth Saigon
* Blank sky lounge
* Dot bar happy hour
* Glow Rooftop (🦩 been before. Still open?)
* Bui Vien Walking Street (🦩been before - nightlife, bars, nangs)
