Run the main backbone through Nogodan $\rightarrow$ Banyabong $\rightarrow$ Yeonhacheon $\rightarrow$ Seseok $\rightarrow$ Jangteomok $\rightarrow$ Cheonwangbong Peak (1,915m), then plunge down the steep descent to Jungsan-ri or Baekmu-dong.
Option B (Full "Hwadae" Traverse - ~43km / 3,300m+ gain): Start right from the valley floor at Hwaeomsa Temple (Gurye), climb all the way up to Nogodan, traverse the full ridge to Cheonwangbong, and descend east to Daewonsa Temple.
