restaurants and bars - no snorkelling)
* Playa Manzanillo (good beach, lots of seagrass, not too much shadow in the
morning, some restaurants - no snorkelling)
* Freshwater Bay (small beach, difficult to find -no signs-, supermarket is on
the street, shadow is good in the afternoon)
* Almond Bay (small beach but beautiful and good to snorkel, small bar and
sunbeds and chairs in the shadow)
* Fort Bay (good to snorkel, almost no shadow, lots of stairs to get there and
the stairs are under construction!!)
* Morgan's Head (can only be reached via boat or canoe but good for snorkeling
- must see!! )
* Crab Cay (good for snorkeling, can only be reached by boat or canoe - must

you are having difficult times to get one
* taxis cost 30.000 COP/ride
* boat tour: with a bigger group (15-20 people) 120.000 COP / private tour
350.0000 (must-do on the island!)

Cartagena, Colombia
1 full day is more than enough to explore Cartagena (Getsemani + Old Town)
-
Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona, Colombia
from Cartagena to Santa Marta with MarSol bus and then with a private taxi
(arranged by the bus driver) to the hotel at the entrance (costs for taxi: )
one night at the park entrance, one night inside the park
gate opens at 7am, leave big luggage at hotel and only bring a day pack
make sure to bring enough cash apparently there are no ATM's in the Tyrona/Minca
area
For Tyrona: Park opens at 8am (September) - the walk to Cabo San Juan takes
about 2 hrs, bring lots of water to drink (extremely humid, hot and sweaty)
Camping at Cabo: check-in for the tents is at 2pm (hammocks 12pm). make sure to
make the ticket right wenn you arrive at Cabo. Then at around 1:45pm go to the
check-in to get one of the 10 tents in first row. Attention: the tents and
pillows are covered in mold! reccomend not sleeping on these pillows and open
all the windows of the tent in the night
get up early for sunrise (around 5:30 am) and enjoy it at the beach, then around
7:30am walk back, stop at La Piscina to swim a little in the sea and then start
going back to the entrance.

Guachaca, Colombia
when booking the Tayrona Tentet Lodge, you are allowed to use the pool from Los
Hermanos hostel. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner can also be eaten there. When
needing to do laundry, you can do that at Los Hermanos (if you are a guest from
Tayrona Tented Lodge) - price: 10.000 COP/kilo
the sea is quite rough here, but good to have some fun with the waves
Go eat at La Brisa Tranqila - best breakfast at Costeño Beach, for lunch go for
the appetizers (huge portions and more than enough for lunch), they also have
good burgers and offer some local dishes (fish, etc)
also if you consume something at la Brisa you can use their sunbeds - note: they
are currently constructing something at the hotel, but it is not too loud to
enjoy and relax
