Budapest

- Above Airbnb is $38 per night (per person), 1 person would have to sleep on couch, 2 people would have to share double bed. Id be happy to spend a bit more to ensure we have our own beds but idm tbh
- Hostel
- Would be 30 – 50$ per person per night. – would probably prefer an Airbnb tbh, could be a point to base our trip around. Could book from 13th of July instead of 11th of July incase we want to stay a couple of extra days in split
Bratislava
- Hostel- similar to Budapest, around 30-50 aud per night
- Found an Airbnb for $56 per person per night, since this isn’t a core part of our trip, may be worth just getting a hostel for this one
Vienna
- Around 50-65 per night for hostel – more expensive than briatlisva and Budapest
- Found an Airbnb for $68 per person per night
- Up to us whether we want an Airbnb for this one, but if we want to play by ear, potentially not
Prague
- Hostels are between $25 - $40 per night
- Found an Airbnb for $52 per night
- I think an airbnb could be a good centre point for the trip
Berlin
- Hostel would be around $45 per night
- Airbnb would be upwards of $65-70 per night
- Im thinking hostel for this one, because cheaper and could be a good place to meet people as there will probs be lots of like minded travellors
Overall analysis (starting from split)
- Split – would be cool to get an Airbnb if we can find a good one, especially since this is a central point of the trip. If we choose to extend our stay, can get hostel for couple of night
- Budapest – I think we can book an Airbnb for say 12th/13th of July to 15th/16th of July, in case we want to stay in split for that festival / longer.
- Bratislava – hostels because not a centre point of the trip, and would be cheaper
- Vienna – this one depends on how open we want to keep the trip. Potentially just hostel to keep it open
- Prague / berlin – I think we get an Airbnb for one of these places, but not both.
