Doing a volunteering at beautiful Rafiki Hostel was probably one of the best things I ever decided to do in my life as it opened so many possibilities for me. Possibilities to learn and practice languages, social skills and playing the ukulele. It was also a place where I met many people that are close to my heart now. Before my trip to Cairo and Luxor I spend a lot of time at the hostel, going snorkeling, we did a day trip to Wadi El Weshwash (getting sick after is also one of the many experiences) and we also went to a full moon celebration in a wadi close by. All in all an amazing time until that moment, though it only became better and better aswell as fuckin crazy haha

Arrived with Flixbus and then travelled to Charleroi Brussels South Airport

When flying over Eilat our pilot made a u turn so that we can see Eilat (Israel), aswell as Aqaba (Jordan). This corner of the world is specially fascinating because you can see the 4 countries Egypt, Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
Landet at the airport (never get a stamp in your Passport or else you're not allowed to enter most Arab countries. You get a blue card instead with a picture of you and some information. Plus enjoy your interview with Israeli border controll haha) and then travelled to the border of Egypt where I needed to cross to Taba site. Then had a driver pick me up and bring me to Dahab.
Crossing the border was a really interesting experience as you need to cross by foot.
First you have a small security check, then you walk further to a place where you need to pay an exit fee from Israel (its 109NIS), when you walk further there is a second security check, where they check whether you paid everything and so on. After you kinda cross into Egypt where there is another security controll and then you need to fill out a paper to get into Egypt and get a visa stemp for Sinai (its 2 weeks for free) and after you need to pay an administration fee of 400LE.
Then you can leave the whole border control and welcome in Egypt!

Here I'll add experiences on the go.
I have my own room now and started fasting for Ramadan. Ramadan usually means that Muslims who take part in Ramadan do not eat or drink anything during daylight hours, eating one meal (the 'suhoor' or 'sehri') just before dawn and another (the 'iftar') after sunset. The end of Ramadan is marked by 'Eid-ul-Fitr', the Festival of the Breaking of the Fast.
I personally do drink because I'm still adjusting to the weather and because of my travels.

After arriving by ferry we watched the sunset from the harbour and the next day we visited the fortress of Aqaba. After that we took a local bus to Wadi Musa.

Wadi Musa, Jordan
We took a local bus from Aqaba to Wadi Musa for 7 JOD. I'm going to stay here for 2 weeks, volunteering in a hostel.
On 19.04 I visited Petra for the whole day with 2 of my friends. I bought the Jordan Pass beforehand, so I went to the entrance and claimed my ticket. Then we took a free shuttle bus and got dropped off at the backdoor entrance, from there we visited little Petra first, it's directly next to the drop off point. Then we took a car, that brought us up close to the hike to the Monastery. Where you get dropped off, you hike up to the Monastery (beautiful scenic hike!!) for about 1,5 hours and then we hiked down to the center, where there is the restaurant,....
Then I visited the temple and went up to have a look at 4 tombs that had beautiful stone patterns. After going back down we walked the gorge to the Treasury which is the most famous part of Petra and is included in the 7 world wonders of the modern world.
