COLCA TREKKING 2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT
Day 01: - CABANACONDE- SAN JUAN -SANGALLE
03:00 a.m. Pick up from your respective hotels and then travel for 3 hours.
6:30 am arrival to Chivay to have breakfast, then we continue our tour to the Cruz
del Condor.
8:30 a.m. arrival to the CRUZ DEL CONDOR, place where we will stay 30 minutes
approx. to appreciate the spectacular flight of the condors and the depth of the
canyon. At 9:30 am approx. arrival to PAMPA SAN MIGUEL to start our walk for
approximately 3 hours to the community SAN JUAN DE CHUCCHO where we will
have lunch with a local family then we continue 3 hours walking in the depths to
reach the oasis of Cañon (SANGALLE) where you can enjoy nature and its pools with
an evening campfire inside the Colca Canyon.
Day 02: - CABANACONDE - CHIVAY - AREQUIPA
4:30 am start of our trek to Cabanaconde.
8:30 am arrival to CABANACONDE to have breakfast and return to CHIVAY, making
stops at natural viewpoints of ANTAHUILQUE where we will appreciate pre-Inca
terraces, then visit the village of MACA to appreciate its church and crafts. 11:30pm
arrival to YANQUE, to visit the thermal baths, then return to Chivay for lunch.
1:30pm return to AREQUIPA making stops at the viewpoint of the Andes (4910m.a.s.l.)
where we will appreciate the volcanoes: HUALCA-HUALCA, SABANCAYA, AMPATO,
CHACHANI AND EL MISTI, then we will make another stop at PAMPAS CAÑAHUAS
where we will appreciate the vicuñas, flora and fauna of the place. At 5:30pm
approx. arrival to the city of Arequipa.
