Ubud is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Bali. Located in the uplands of Bali, Ubud is surrounded by lush rainforest and terraced rice paddies. A hub for traditional craft and Balinese dance, Ubud is neighbored by some of the most amazing Balinese temples in Bali. You will spend 3 of your 10 days in Bali in Ubud, visiting some of the best cultural attractions of Bali as well as the numerous natural wonders in the region such as waterfalls and paddy fields. There are many attractions located within close proximity of Ubud center. However, there are also many other amazing sights away from the city that will require proper transportation to get there. Similar to Nusa Penida, I recommend you to hire a driver for a day in Ubud and have him take you on a self-customized day trip.
