Hi welcome to the travel plan hehe, as i am sure you know about me, i dont tend to plan things out much but lets give it a go!
We will land at around 16:00 so we will be able to get into the city and then enjoy it for one evening. I think it would be a good idea to try and visit Colombo before you fly back home as it would likely be best to prioritise the rest of the country first.

Nous atterrirons vers 16h00, ce qui nous permettra d'arriver en ville et d'en profiter le temps d'une soirée. Je pense que ce serait une bonne idée d'essayer de visiter Colombo avant de rentrer, car il serait probablement préférable de privilégier le reste du pays.

Sigiriya, Sri Lanka
We can take the train the following morning from Colombo to Sigiriya, this should take around 4 hours so we can easily get there in the early afternoon.
The main thing to see in the area is Sigiriya rock, also known as lions rock which is a rock with a fortress on the top of it. It's a unesco world heritage site. There is also Pidurangala Rock (lots of rocks in this place) which offers a great view of Lions rock. There is also Kayanwala lake and Kandalama lake, maybe we can swim here? I think more than enough for a day and half.
Nous pouvons prendre le train le lendemain matin de Colombo à Sigiriya. Le trajet devrait prendre environ 4 heures, ce qui nous permettra d'arriver facilement en début d'après-midi.
Le principal site à voir dans la région est le rocher de Sigiriya, aussi connu sous le nom de Rocher du Lion, un rocher surmonté d'une forteresse. Il est classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. Il y a aussi le rocher de Pidurangala (il y a beaucoup de rochers à cet endroit) qui offre une vue magnifique sur le Rocher du Lion. Il y a aussi les lacs Kayanwala et Kandalama. On pourrait peut-être s'y baigner ? Je pense que c'est largement suffisant pour une journée et demie.

Kandy, Sri Lanka
From Sigiriya to Kandy only takes 1 hour 30 mins by taxi, I can't see any busses or trains on rome to rio but i think a taxi will be quite cheap so we could potentially do this?? There isn't a huge amount to do in Kandy, one thing is Ambuluwala tower which looks really cool in terms of architecture, i would like to visit. There is also a big buddha temple here which is always a win. There is a spice garden called Kandy spice garden where the food is rumoured to be wonderful, there is a tea garden too! There are botanical gardens along with a traditional danceshow so i think plenty to keep us busy for the day.
Also this is where we will begin one of the most amazing train journeys in the world.
De Sigiriya à Kandy, il ne faut qu'une heure et demie en taxi. Je ne vois aucun bus ni train sur la ligne Rome-Rio, mais je pense qu'un taxi serait assez bon marché, alors on pourrait peut-être faire ça ? Il n'y a pas grand-chose à faire à Kandy, à part la tour d'Ambuluwala, qui a l'air vraiment superbe en termes d'architecture, et j'aimerais la visiter. Il y a aussi un grand temple du Bouddha, ce qui est toujours un plus. Il y a aussi un jardin d'épices, le Kandy Spice Garden, où la nourriture est réputée pour être délicieuse, et un jardin de thé ! Il y a aussi des jardins botaniques et un spectacle de danse traditionnelle, donc je pense qu'il y a de quoi nous occuper pour la journée.
C'est aussi de là que nous commencerons l'un des voyages en train les plus incroyables au monde.

Ella, Sri Lanka
The Kandy to Ella train journey takes around 8 hours and is suppose to be amazing so the transport is going to be amazing!!
In Ella, there is a lot to do! We can hike little adams peak and ella rock, they both look to offer great views over the jungle. We need to visit nine arches bridge because it just looks really cool!! Ella town itself has lots of nice markets, restaurants and bars which we can visit. We should visit Kital waterfall, it looks wonderful along with Lower Diyaluma Falls. Theres a place called Flying Ravana Adventure where we can go zip lining. Ravana pool club looks cool and a nice vibe if we fancy it. I think three nights here will be perfect.
Le voyage en train de Kandy à Ella dure environ 8 heures et est censé être incroyable, donc le transport sera incroyable !
À Ella, il y a beaucoup à faire ! Nous pouvons randonner jusqu'au Little Adams Peak et à Ella Rock, qui offrent tous deux de superbes vues sur la jungle. Il faut absolument visiter le pont aux neuf arches, il a l'air vraiment génial ! La ville d'Ella regorge de marchés, de restaurants et de bars sympas. Nous devrions visiter la cascade de Kital, qui est magnifique, tout comme les chutes Lower Diyaluma. Il y a aussi un endroit appelé Flying Ravana Adventure où nous pouvons faire de la tyrolienne. Le Ravana Pool Club a l'air sympa et l'ambiance est agréable si on en a envie. Je pense que trois nuits ici seront parfaites.

Tissamaharama, Sri Lanka
We can take the bus from Ella to Tissa, it is roughly a 4 hour journey. I'm not sure if there is a train which we can take from Ella but apparently the bus journey is really beautiful.
In Tissa, the main thing to do is to visit the Yala national park for a safari.
Nous pouvons prendre le bus d'Ella à Tissa, le trajet dure environ 4 heures. Je ne sais pas s'il existe un train depuis Ella, mais apparemment, le trajet en bus est vraiment magnifique.
À Tissa, l'activité principale est de visiter le parc national de Yala pour un safari.

Mirissa, Sri Lanka
From Tissa to Mirissa takes around 2 hours by car, there will likely be busses going here which we can see at the time.
Mirissa is a beachside town and will have plenty of us to do to keep busy, hopefully we can surf!!
De Tissa à Mirissa, comptez environ deux heures de route. Des bus s'y rendront probablement, ce que nous pourrons voir à ce moment-là.
Mirissa est une ville balnéaire et nous aurons de quoi nous occuper. J'espère que nous pourrons surfer !

Galle, Sri Lanka
Mirissa to Galle will not take long as they're very close.
Galle is similar to Mirissa in terms of beachside town so we can chill and surf!
Le trajet de Mirissa à Galle ne sera pas long, car elles sont très proches.
Galle est similaire à Mirissa en termes de station balnéaire, ce qui nous permet de nous détendre et de surfer !

Galle to Dalhousie will take around 4 hours if we take the bus, i cant see a direct train but if there is we should take it!!
We would go here just to do the adams peak hike so only need to stay one night.
Le trajet de Galle à Dalhousie prend environ 4 heures en bus. Je ne vois pas de train direct, mais s'il y en a un, nous devrions le prendre !
Nous irions ici uniquement pour faire la randonnée jusqu'au pic Adams, donc nous n'y resterons qu'une nuit.

We can take the train here from Dalhousie and then just explore before staying one night before you take your flight home.
Nous pouvons prendre le train ici depuis Dalhousie, puis simplement explorer avant de rester une nuit avant de prendre votre vol de retour.
