DO NOT stop at Stuðlagil Canyon FROM THE WEST SIDE
There are two different ways to visit Stuðlagil. The first one is from the west
side, where you can see the canyon after a short walk from above, but it is not
possible to walk down into the canyon.
The other one is from the east side, where you have to walk about 5 kilometers,
but you can walk all the way down to the river. We did both, as by mistake we
took the west side the first day. Don’t make the same mistake unless you want
